SPRUNG IN HISTORY

Very often the stuff of legends is too good to be true. Yet the legend of a unique spring in Záturčie with miraculous health effects proved to be wonderfully bona fide. The precious spring was re-discovered in 1929 by a dowser – Mr Hebda – who reported his find to the local press. Upon learning of the spring, a certain Mr Reichl and son had the first well sunk and began distributing the precious water to improve people’s health. Since 1958 the water has been saturated with carbon dioxide, and Fatra Extra has been drawn and bottled since 1998.
